After finally reaching the close of the Charleston Classic, which saw the Owls play three games in four days, they finished the tournament on a bright note, with a win over the University of Alabama Birmingham Blazers, 87-66. Temple was led by Dalton Pepper, who scored a team high 24 points. Pepper also provided the Owls with 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
Temple squared off against some pretty formidable opponents in Charleston, facing Clemson, Georgia and UAB. Temple had a tough draw in the first round, having to deal with an undefeated Clemson Tigers squad, but fared much better in their next two games against the Bulldogs and Blazers.
For the Owls, Will Cummings finished with 17 points and now has yet to finish with less than 17 in a game on the season. Cummings' consistency is a huge weapon going forward for the Owls. Anthony Lee recorded a double-double, consisting of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Quenton DeCosey finished with 18 points himself and the starting lineup combined for 75 of the team's points.
The Owls seemed to have found their stride in Charleston, as they are now at 3-3 on theseason and look to keep this momentum going forward.
