The Saint Joseph’s Men’s Basketball program was hit hard by graduation after last season. Wednesday night, they were hit even harder by #13 Gonzaga, as the Bulldogs crushed the Hawks 94-42.

It would be all Gonzaga from the start in Wednesday’s NIT Season Tip-Off game, as the Bulldogs jumped out to a commanding 31-7 lead just more 12 minutes into the contest.
Gonzaga would continue its dominance throughout the game, taking a 48-10 lead to the locker room at the half and continuing to outmatch the Hawks in the second half on their way to a 94-42 win.

DeAndre’ Bembry struggled throughout the game, going just 2-of-13 from the field in 31 minutes of play. One bright spot for the Hawks was the play of junior guard Aaron Brown, as the West Virginia transfer scored 14 points in 17 minutes off the bench.

With the loss, the Hawks fall to 1-2 on the young season.
