Saint Joseph's has been an up-and-down squad all season.
Sunday afternoon was no different for the Hawks.
After an upset win over Rhode Island earlier in the week, Phil Martelli's squad kept pace early on the road against a lowly Fordham squad, but poor shooting would catch up with the Hawks in the second half, as they fell to the Rams, 69-55.

After an upset win over Rhode Island earlier in the week, Phil Martelli's squad kept pace early on the road against a lowly Fordham squad, but poor shooting would catch up with the Hawks in the second half, as they fell to the Rams, 69-55.
The Hawks would start off decently, taking an early six-point lead before eventually heading to the half down just 31-26.
Saint Joseph's would struggle mightily with its shot, making just 9-of-26 (34.6 percent) from the field, but would be able to keep pace with the Rams, largely in part to five first half three pointers.
The Hawks' shooting woes would catch up with them in the second half, however, as they fell behind by as much as 16 on their way to a 69-55 loss.
The win for Fordham would be just the Rams' second in Atlantic 10 play this season, and drop the Hawks to just 11-13 on the season and 5-7 in conference play.
DeAndre' Bembry would lead the Hawks with 18 points in the loss, but would need to take 18 shots just to get there, and committed four turnovers in a bit of an off game for the sophomore star.
Saint Joseph's will be back in action Thursday night, when they square off with conference-leader Dayton.
