Daniel Dingle and Mark Williams would replace Quenton DeCosey and Devontae Watson in the starting lineup for disciplinary reasons, but the Owls would still waste little time asserting their dominance, outrebounding the Pirates 30-10 in the first half to take a 34-18 lead to the locker room at the break.
Temple would cruise from there, stretching its lead to as large as 18 before picking up a 66-53 win to improve to 19-7 on the season and 10-3 in AAC play.
Will Cummings would lead the Owls in points, notching 17 in the win, but not to be overlooked are the efforts of Jaylen Bond and other players down low that allowed Temple to dominate.
Bond finished with seven points and 16 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass. Dingle would pitch in nine rebounds for the Owls as well, as Temple continued to kick it into high gear heading down the home stretch of the regular season.
