Temple traveled to Tampa on Sunday to take on South Florida, as the Owls looked to get back on track following a disappointing loss to East Carolina on Wednesday.
Senior Quenton DeCosey tallied a career-high 30 points to help the Owls do just that, as Temple held on for a 70-63 win over the Bulls.
DeCosey was hot from the outset, scoring 20 points in the first half to help Temple head to the break with a 35-31 lead.
Temple grew its lead to as much as 15 just less than seven minutes into the second half, but USF would refuse to go away, ratting off a 10-2 run to cut the Owls’ lead to single digits.
