After injuring his knee in the home opener against Dallas on September 20th, team physicians were unsure of the severity of the injury.  Some officials said that he would be back after a couple of weeks, while others were quick to rule him out for the season.  The Eagles finally learned the fate of their newly acquired linebacker on Wednesday.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Eagles will place kicker Cody Parkey on Injured Reserve with a groin injury, ending his season, and will sign Caleb Sturgis to take his place.

Eagles Coach Chip Kelly confirmed on Monday that Parkey injured his leg Sunday during pregame warm-ups against the Jets.

Desperate for a win after starting the season 0-2 and having looked just terrible in the process, the Eagles escaped #Popeapalooza this weekend and headed to MetLife Stadium for a matchup with the Jets. The Birds looked like a different team in the first half, taking a 24-7 lead to the locker room at the half and holding on in the second half for a 24-17 win over the Jets.

While it's only three weeks into the season, it is safe to say this was a must-win for the Eagles if they have any hopes of making the playoffs. Luckily for the Eagles, not only did they pick up an important win, the Cowboys blew a game against the Falcons.

Report: Kiko Alonso Now To Miss 2-4 Weeks With ACL Sprain

#KikoWatch2015 continues, with the latest report coming from Fox 29 and WIP's Howard Eskin, who says Alonso has an ACL sprain and could miss 2-4 weeks, not the entire season.

This report is in contrast to a report from earlier Monday evening from FOXSports’ Mike Garafolo, who said Alonso’s season could be finished.

Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso was scheduled to have tests on his injured left knee Monday morning, and according to reports, it doesn't look too promising.

Alonso left Sunday's game against the Cowboys in the second quarter with a left knee injury and did not return. That is the same knee that Alonso missed all of last season after tearing the ACL in it.

According to FOXSports' Mike Garafolo, Alonso's season could be finished just as it was starting.

Eagles Fall To Cowboys, 0-2 On The Year Now

Where do I even start?  It was a terrible showing for the Eagles, as they fall to 0-2 with today's loss to the Cowboys by a final score of 20-10.  The defense looked decent, allowing just one offensive touchdown to Terrence Williams towards the end of the game, but the offense was putrid.  After the showing they had this preseason, everyone was expecting huge things from the offense.  But two games in, they look nothing like the high flying, fast moving offense of the preseason.
