10-0. That was Andrew Luck's career record after a loss heading into Monday night. In his short two plus year career, Luck has not lost consecutive games....until the Eagles came to town.
Early on, it looked as if that record would go to 11-0, as Foles and the Philadelphia offense struggled to get anything going. The line was having a hard time keeping off the rush, as they looked a little lost without veteran Evan Mathis. The offense was only able to muster up 6 points on two field goals in the first half.
Whatever Chip said to the boys at halftime seemed to work, as they were a much improved team in the second half. While their first touchdown didn't come until the 4:32 mark in the third quarter on a 1-yard Shady run, they kept up the scoring with a Sproles TD and a Maclin TD reception after an earlier pick of Andrew Luck.
After forcing a quick 3 and out, the Eagles got the ball back with a little over two minutes left. Another big run by Darren Sproles later and the Eagles were set up for the game winning field goal from Cody Parkey. Sproles was definitely the player of the game, as he caught 7 passes for 152 yards and rushed for another 26 yards and a touchdown.
The defense looked phenomenal in the second half, holding a potent Colts offense to just 1 second half touchdown. The win makes the Eagles one of the last 7 unbeaten teams in the NFL (Cardinals, Panthers, Broncos, Bills, Texans, Bengals as well). Obviously the birds have to work on starting off strong instead of waiting until the second half, but every team has it's flaws early on.
