The Eagles welcome the Chicago Bears to Lincoln Financial Field Sunday night in a game packed with playoff implications for both squads. With Dallas and Green Bay both in action earlier in the day, both teams will know what will be needed to earn a playoff berth come game time. A Dallas loss in the afternoon would allow the Eagles to clinch the NFC East with a win over the Bears.

Philadelphia is coming off a disappointing loss against the Vikings last week, when Minnesota lit up the Eagles defense for 48 points, their first time allowing more than 21 points since Week 4. The loss snapped a five-game win streak for the Birds and hurt their playoff chances a bit, that is, before Tony Romo did his thing in the Dallas game.

Quarterback Nick Foles comes off a week in which he passed for a career-high 428 yards, but with few stops on the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles were hopeless.

The Eagles will look for Foles to continue his breakout season in the game against Chicago, while also hoping for a bounce back game from league-leading rusher LeSean McCoy, who was held to just 38 rushing yards against the Vikings.

The coaching was called into question following the game, as McCoy had only 8 rushes in the game. Chip Kelly will need to make better in-game adjustments this week if he hopes to push the Eagles closer to a playoff bid.

Kelly won't be the only one needing to make adjustments, as Defensive Coordinator Billy Davis will need to get a much better effort out of his players this week, especially with all the offensive weapons the Bears bring to the table.

With big receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, the Eagles' secondary will have their hands full all day and will need to step up under pressure.

Tonight's game could see the Eagles clinch a playoff berth, or it could prove to be meaningless, depending on the Dallas outcome, but either way it's nice to have important football in Philadelphia in December again.
