The Eagles welcome the Lions to Lincoln Financial Field at 1 p.m. Sunday, on what is supposed to be a blustery day to say the least. With both teams sitting at 7-5, this game comes packed with playoff implications. The Eagles will look to shut Calvin Johnson and the NFC North-leading Lions down as they go for their fifth consecutive win.

Philadelphia enters the game coming off a three-point victory over Arizona a week ago and will look to Nick Foles to continue his record-setting pace in the game. After being bailed out of a few interceptions last week, Foles enters the game having thrown 19 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on the season.

With Foles playing mistake-free ball, the defense has been able to step up, taking the ball away nine times in their past four games and not allowing more than 21 points to an opponent since Week 4.

The defense will be met with a huge test in this game however, as league-leading receiver Calvin Johnson visits the Linc. With Reggie Bush having a resurgent season at running back as well, the Lions boast a high power offense.

The Eagles will look to the receiving duo of DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper to continue their strong play, as they face a Lions defense that enters the game 26th in the league in opponents passing yards allowed. While the Lions passing defense is far from impressive, their third-ranked rushing defense is a completely different story. With the likes of Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley on the Lions defense, it could be a long day for LeSean McCoy.

A win would give the Eagles sole possession of first in the NFC East for the time being, as Dallas won’t play until Monday night. With the season winding down, there is little room for error for Philadelphia, as they look for just their third home win of the season.
