Eagles fans anxiously awaited Saturday's 4 p.m. deadline for rosters to be cut down to 53 players. The main focus of reporters, fans, haters and just about everyone else has been on one man: Tim Tebow.
After the Eagles traded Matt Barkley to the Cardinals for a conditional late-round pick on Friday, the door appeared to be open for Tebow to make the final roster. In the end, however, Tebow did not make the roster (first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter), ushering in the end of the short Tebow era in Philadelphia.
Chip Kelly apparently suggested to Tebow that he go to the CFL to get some more reps.
Don't be surprised if this move leads to the Pope cancelling his visit and Tebow taking PopeBot with him.
So ends the short-lived Tim Tebow era in Philadelphia. We here at the BSB wish him the best. The below video goes out to you Tim, wherever you are.
