Around the League, Week 2 NFC Edition

NFC EAST:
Dallas: Tony Romo didn't look that great this week, but he didn't have to since DeMarco Murray was a fantasy beast and pretty much carried the Cowboys offense. Romo and Murray won't have it easy this week, traveling to St. Louis to play the Rams, whose defense is still among the top in the league even with the injury to Chris Long. Murray is still a must start after last week, Dez too, but if you have better QB options than Romo I'd explore them. Look 3 teams below for a better option.
NY Giants: It's not good to have to rely on any Giants for fantasy purposes at this point. Victor Cruz has dropped to a WR3 at best. Rueben Randle could be worth a waiver wire pickup this week if you're in an 18 team league or something.
Philadelphia: Darren Sproles, what more can I say. He killed it yesterday. Now's the time to sell though. His value is higher than it's ever been, but he's still splitting time with the best RB in the league. He's an RB3 who looks like an RB2 right now. See what you can get.
Washington: Sad to see a good QB like RGIII go down with an ankle injury, especially an injury that could spell the end of his Redskin days. Kirk Cousins is a better fit for that offense and could easily steal the job from Robert Griffin III, who will be sitting the next few weeks for sure, if not more. Cousins is owned in only 8% of fantasy leagues. If you're in need of a QB he's your best waiver wire guy this week. DeSean Jackson had a shoulder injury as well. It doesn't look to serious and he's expected to play Sunday.
NFC NORTH:
Chicago: Well, if you're like me you probably got fooled by the reports of Marshall and Jeffery not playing. This shouldn't be an issue this coming week and the Jets defense isn't scaring anyone. I expect Forte to have a great game too, after his 3 point performance this week.
Detroit: I just love Detroit's offense so much from a fantasy perspective. Stafford had a bad week compared to usual last week and still got more fantasy points than Brady, Ryan, Romo etc. Joique Bell is starting to look like the clear starter in that offense too, leading Reggie Bush in carries and receptions. The game vs. Green Bay this week should be a shoot out.
Green Bay: Not a great day by Lacy. Rodgers was able to salvage some points. Jordy Nelson looks unstoppable. It seems like he's getting all of Green Bay's passes.
Minnesota: Cordarrelle Patterson looked bad, only catching 4 balls for 56 yards. Furthering proof that he's too boom-or-bust and not consistent enough to be a solid WR2. I'd sell on him, but that's just me. Cassel was awful too against his former team, throwing 4 interceptions. AP is expected to be back this weekend. You shouldn't really need to use Asiata at this point. EDIT: The Vikings have just done a 180 and have deactivated Peterson again. Start Asiata if you need.

NFC SOUTH:
Atlanta: Not a great follow up to their OT win in week 1. Roddy White did not practice today due to a hamstring injury, but that isn't a big concern. With the short week it's just to get him rest. Expect him to go full speed on Thursday vs. Carolina.
Carolina: DeAngelo Williams is expected to return to his timeshare with Jonathan Stewart after missing last week's game due to a quad injury. This makes the Panthers run game irrelevant for fantasy again. I could see Kelvin Benjamin having a good game as the Falcons have given up an average of 29 points per game this season.
New Orleans: Mark Ingram was having a bit of a resurgence, but will have to miss at least a month now with a broken hand. Look for Khiry Robinson to get more playing time now. Brandin Cooks only had 3 catches for 17 yards, which is what will happen when you have 4 competent receivers all fighting for catches behind Jimmy Graham. Saints receivers are a little to untrustworthy for me. Jimmy Graham continues to look great as always.
Tampa Bay: Geez, the Bucs couldn't beat either Derek Anderson or Austin Davis at home. McCown's look a little better than expected, but the only fantasy relevant player here continues to be Vincent Jackson. Doug Martin looks like he'll play this week, so Bobby Rainey's value will take a bit of a hit...though maybe not, Doug Martin isn't good after all.

NFC WEST:
Arizona: Andre Ellington owner should be happy at this point. After almost not playing week 1, he's had 2 solid games, despite Jon Dwyer vulturing touchdowns. The Cards have a bye next week, which should help Ellington heal up a bit more. Carson Palmer has no timetable for his return yet and Drew Stanton won't have an easy time against the 49ers D this week. I feel like Larry Fitzgerald has a good week coming though, just a hunch.
San Francisco: Vernon Davis has apparently avoided a high ankle sprain and could possibly play this week. Keep an eye on him though. If he doesn't go UFDA Derek Carrier would get the start.
Seattle: Seattle is beatable afterall! Percy Harvin only saw 1 target the whole game. Might be time to panic. The good news is Seattle is pissed off now, so look to Russell Wilson and the offense to have a bounce-back week. Might sit the D though as their playing the Broncos...but hey, they handled them in the Super Bowl so do whatever you feel.
St. Louis: If this new drug policy gets passed, Steadman Bailey would be one of the players reinstated immediately, which would help the Rams receivning core, which at this point is basically only Brian Quick. Tavon Austin is out 2 weeks with a sprained MCL. Zac Stacy looked like the clear starter last week rushing for 71 yards and a TD on 19 carries, Benny Cunningham only had 6 carries for 15 yards. Austin Davis came to play and looked good, but you still shouldn't be at the point where you would ever have to start him at QB.
