Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Diego Chargers 4:05
The Chargers D/ST is probably the #1 defense you can use this week, though they'll probably be scooped up early off the waiver wire. Despite the matchup, the Jags may be a bit rejuvenated with Blake Bortles at the helm now. Bortles should be a stash on your bench if you have a QB with a bye coming up in weeks 5 or 6. Toby Gerhart might finally have a good game, as the Chargers do allow the 7th most rush yards in the NFL. On the Chargers offense, this has to be the week for Keenan Allen to break out. Many people drafted him as a low-end WR1, high-end WR2 and he has not delivered yet. If it doesn't happen against Jacksonville good luck trading him. Branden Oliver will get some PT as a rookie this week now that RB's Mathews and Woodhead are out, though Mathews will be back soon. Expect Donald Brown to have a crazy high amount of carries this week. Brown is a must start.

Okay, I'm messing with the format of these updates again. Gonna be previewing the games now as opposed to individual teams, because that's probably a bit more valuable than re-hashing what's already happened the previous week.

NY Giants vs. Washington Redskins Thurs. 8:25
DeSean Jackson's reps are being limited, coming off a shoulder injury in Week 2, but he should be good to go Thursday night and a suitable high-end WR2 given the Giants defense. On the Redskins defensive side of the ball, DeAngelo Hall is out after tearing his achilles, making an already awful defense even worse. Giants receivers like Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle receive a slight boost in fantasy value. The real payoff on the Giants offense is RB Rashad Jennings, who had a beast of a game against an all right Houston defense last week. RB's always tend to do well on Thursday nights too.

AFC EAST:
Buffalo: Sammy Watkins had the game we all were waiting for this week, posting an 8-117-1 stat line. This is a good time to sell high on him though. The Bills often get off to great starts only to finish the season around 6-10. Meanwhile, CJ Spiller is looking like the RB we all knew he was capable of being, now a solid RB2 instead of a shaky one.
Miami: Mike Pouncey is returning to the O line this week coming off hip surgery. This is good news for Lamar Miller who will see a spiked work load due to Knowshon Moreno's elbow injury. Expect Moreno to miss at least a month.
New England: Typical Patriots, Vereen, Gronk and Edelman were all limited in practice today, but they'll still go. Edelman is doing a good job of picking up slack while Gronk is getting limited snaps in games. Amendola is droppable in all formats.
NY Jets: Eric Decker, the Jets only fantasy-worthy receiver, has been having a bit of trouble with his hamstring. Luckily the Jets don't play till Monday so I expect him to play. Keep a watchful eye on him though. 

NFC EAST:
Dallas: Tony Romo didn't look that great this week, but he didn't have to since DeMarco Murray was a fantasy beast and pretty much carried the Cowboys offense. Romo and Murray won't have it easy this week, traveling to St. Louis to play the Rams, whose defense is still among the top in the league even with the injury to Chris Long. Murray is still a must start after last week, Dez too, but if you have better QB options than Romo I'd explore them. Look 3 teams below for a better option.
NY Giants: It's not good to have to rely on any Giants for fantasy purposes at this point. Victor Cruz has dropped to a WR3 at best. Rueben Randle could be worth a waiver wire pickup this week if you're in an 18 team league or something. 
Philadelphia: Darren Sproles, what more can I say. He killed it yesterday. Now's the time to sell though. His value is higher than it's ever been, but he's still splitting time with the best RB in the league. He's an RB3 who looks like an RB2 right now. See what you can get. 
Washington: Sad to see a good QB like RGIII go down with an ankle injury, especially an injury that could spell the end of his Redskin days. Kirk Cousins is a better fit for that offense and could easily steal the job from Robert Griffin III, who will be sitting the next few weeks for sure, if not more. Cousins is owned in only 8% of fantasy leagues. If you're in need of a QB he's your best waiver wire guy this week. DeSean Jackson had a shoulder injury as well. It doesn't look to serious and he's expected to play Sunday.

AFC EAST:
Buffalo: CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson continue to run neck and neck. Spiller had the added benefit of a receiving TD this week, but their numbers were still very close. Sammy Watkins still has room to improve, only catching 3 balls for 31 yards.
Miami: Bill Lazor, the Dolphins offensive coordinator, said today that the team will continue to rotate Knowshon Moreno and Lamar Miller. Moreno had a good game against New England this week and is creeping in to RB2 discussion.
New England: For having a limited workload, Rob Gronkowski looked fine in week 1, even scoring a TD. Ride Gronk as much as you can and hopefully he stays injury free. Given the fact that pretty much all but 3 TE's suck this year, having Gronk is an asset. Brady didn't look very good, often just throwing the ball up for grabs. Tread lightly with him this year.
NY Jets: Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory split the workload right down the middle, adding another timeshare to an NFL that is already being overrun with them. Eric Decker is the only receiver on this team with any fantasy relevance. 

New segment we're doing here. Don't think I'll be able to post rankings this year due to the massive amount of time that takes and how hard it is to format on the web-hosting service we use. As you'll see below, we're going to be bouncing around every division in the NFL and highlighting important fantasy notes from the week that was to help you going forward. In a sense, this is probably better than rankings. Without further adieu. 

NFC EAST:
Dallas: For as bad as their defense was supposed to be it was their offense that turned them into a laughingstock on Sunday. Specifically Romo. After being babied along in the preseason post-back surgery he came out and threw 3 interceptions and looked out of sync with his receivers. I wouldn't panic just yet, but if you have Romo as your only QB I might start looking to see if Jake Locker is available.
NY Giants: Last night proved that Larry Donnell is the Giant's starting TE. I see a lot of dump routs for him going forward. Worth a waiver wire pickup if you're like me and traditionally only draft 1 TE.
Philadelphia: Not too much to gleam from this game. An average showing from most fantasy players against a team that they were expected to beat handily. I will say that Ertz's stock is rising fast as Celek's slowly slides.
Washington: Man, RGIII looked bad. I don't think I saw him complete one pass longer than 5 yards. Also Jordan Reed is expected to be out a few weeks due to a hamstring injury. MRI today. Logan Paulson and Niles Paul are your backups.

SAM BRADFORD (STL) OUT FOR SEASON... AGAIN:
Rams QB Sam Bradford tore his ACL for the second straight season yesterday. The starting QB, who was a potential sleeper and very useful in 2 QB leagues, missed the second half of last season after tearing the ACL in his left leg. The injury occurred during a preseason game against Cleveland last night, which also saw Michael Sam sack Johnny Manziel causing ESPN to explode. Bradford walked off on his own power, but news came out today that the ACL was torn again and he would have to sit 2014 out. Shaun Hill now becomes St. Louis' starter. Bradford has 2 years left on a $78 million deal, which is ridiculously high since it was signed the last season before the lockout.

I'm not even going to mention the 3 guys pictured above this article, because it's a given if you get AP, Charles or Shady (dammit I just mentioned them) you'll get solid production for the season barring injuries. Here's a couple less flashy guys poised for big seasons.

For most fantasy players the draft is probably this weekend or next. Here's a list of players to avoid going in to your draft.

Montee Ball RB (Denver)
Ball is only going in the late first-early second round because people assume he has the job. This isn't the case. He was in a Peyton Manning offense last year where he hardly had to worry about any team focusing on defending the running game and he still managed to lose the starting gig to Knowshon Moreno, who by all accounts looks horrible at Dolphins training camp this season. Ball could lose this job to Ronnie Hillman or CJ Anderson, just like last year with Knowshon. We also haven't seen Ball succeed the way he's projected to before. Too big of a mystery and I wouldn't want my RB1 to be picked based off speculation.

BREAKING: Le'Veon Bell & LeGarrette Blount (PIT) Charged With Marijuana Possession:

The first and second string RB's for the Pittsburgh Steelers have both been charged with marijuana possession after a traffic stop today in Western PA. Both were arrested and then released. If charged with driving under the influence of marijuana, that counts as a DUI for Bell.  If their suspensions are in line with Josh Gordon's first weed offense from last season expect them to be out for the first 2 games of the season. This catapults third string back Dri Archer's fantasy value, who is currently going undrafted on average. This gives new meaning to handcuffing running backs.
