The game continued to be tight throughout the 3rd. Philadelphia was able to build a 13 point lead midway through the period but a run by the Magic put them right back in it. It would take the final seconds of the game to decide the victor. The Sixers had their chances throughout the final quarter but did not capitalize. Henry Sims was able to knot it up at 89 points each with 4 second left on a shot from the top of the key but Tobias Harris did the Magic one better hitting a shot at the buzzer (2 of his 18 points) to give Orlando the win, 91-89.
Nerlens Noel left the game after spraining his ankle after playing 16 minutes. The rookie had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and 3 turnovers before being pulled. He's listed as day-to-day. Good news injury wise is that Michael Carter-Williams is scheduled to return to practice on Thursday.
Wroten finished with 8 assists (but a whopping 9 turnovers) 5 steals and 3 boards. Brandon Davies had another efficient shooting night, ending with 20 points (9-11 FG). KJ McDaniels added 12 points and 3 rejections off the bench. Philly was again put at a disadvantage because of their own poor free throw shooting (65%).
Former Sixer Nikola Vucevic finished with 17 points for the Magic while Channing Frye had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The 76ers will host the injury-ridden Bulls on Friday (4-1).
