During the game a trade between the Sixers and the Nets was reported as being finalized(Yahoo! Sports). Brooklyn is sending Andrei Kirilenko, a 2020 second round pick, the right to swap 2018 second rounders, cash and possibly another player to be named, for Brandon Davies. AK47 is likely to be cut and Hinkie is now rolling in an even larger pile of future picks.
Philly shot 42% for the court, 52% from the line, and had 18 turnovers as their offense only put up 76 points. The Hawks dominated the boards, securing 52 rebounds (16 offensive) compared to 39 by the Sixers.
Carter-Williams had a mere quadruple-double, finishing with 8 points (4-7 FG), 10 rebounds, 9 dimes, and 9 turnovers. Shved led the team with 13 points off the bench. Noel ended with 8 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks. Philly got nice contributions from both KJ and Jerami Grant in reserve roles. Both rookies added 10 points while McDaniels, again struggling with his shot (3-11FG), added 2 steals and 2 rejections defensively.
Millsap led Atlanta with 17 points and 8 rebounds. DeMarre Carroll contributed 14 points, 11 boards, and 3 steals while Korver added 17 points off 5 three pointers.
Brandon Davies will be leaving Philly has slowed down after raising some eyebrows with an impact off the bench and a few starts early in the year. Davies averaged 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds over the last 10 games. The emergence of a healthy Jerami Grant has likely made Davies expendable in management's eyes.
The Sixers will play the Nets (8-12) in Brooklyn on Friday.
