Philadelphia struggled to score and only shot 33% from the floor and 61% from the free throw line. The 76ers were also outrebounded 53-30 and out-scored 54-32 in the paint. Washington shot 56% from the field and hit 7 of their 14 attempts from deep.
Henry Sims led the Sixers with 13 points but only grabbed 3 rebounds. Noel added 11 points, 7 boards, 4 steals, and 1 block. Covington scored 10 points and rookie Jerami Grant added 12 points off the bench. Carter-Williams finished with 7 points (2-13 FG) and 5 assists.
The Wizards were led by 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 rejections from Marcin Gortat. John Wall recorded 10 assists with 11 points. Kevin Seraphin scored 14 points and secured 9 rebounds in reserve.
The 76ers host the NBA-worst Knicks on Wednesday.
