A Feastival for the Ages

I was fortunate enough to be in attendance last night as all of Philadelphia's finest chefs came together under one roof for Philly Feastival. First, huge props to Maria Papadakis for getting me the press pass and hosting a fantastic event. (Follow her on Twitter: @MariaRPapadakis) It's safe to say I had an absolutely great time, most would say I had a bit too much fun. The event brought fine food and performance art to Pier 9, which was pretty cool. Scores of people flocked to the waterfront and since I was lucky enough to rub elbows with professional athletes and radio and television personalities, I'll recap a few of my favorite things from Feastival.

Duck Terrine - Russet

I have to say, I have never had duck before but it was delectable. Rich, flavorful and well-prepared, I would highly recommend visiting this establishment on 15th and Spruce for a delicious meal. Side note, I don't feel bad about eating Duck, I was always Team Bugs Bunny anyway.

Pork Belly & Rice Puffs - Audrey Claire

Light and delicious, the Pork Belly & Rice Puffs from this South 20th Street eatery are definitely worth a visit.

Mini Lobster Rolls - Route 6

Absolutely delicious. My favorite food of the evening, I suggest you stop by this North Broad Street restaurant for some fantastic food. Plus, they're located on our namesake street, so you should go.

Rose Petal Margaritas

This fine beverage made with Siembra Azul Tequila was by far my favorite drink of the evening. I would definitely suggest you give this a shot if you have the chance.

In all, Feastival was a great experience. If you're ever afforded the chance to attend, go. Great food, great drinks and great people.
