For the second straight day, Ryan hit a home run. But unlike Saturday night, the Phillies would emerge victorious over the Braves on Sunday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.

With the 5-4 win over Atlanta, the Phillies picked up just their second series win of the season.

Late Inning Struggles Doom Phillies in Loss to Braves

A strong start early by David Buchanan saw the Braves' scoreless streak reach 20 innings, and the Phillies take a 2-0 lead into the seventh.

The Phillies would be unable to finish off the Braves, however, coughing up the lead in the seventh before eventually falling 5-2.

Phillies Drop Game, Series to Nationals

After finally scoring some runs in Saturday's win, the Phillies offense was right back to being its lackluster self Sunday afternoon.

With Stephen Strasburg on the mound for the Nationals in the series finale, the Phillies offense would continue to struggle to put runs across the plate as they have all season, dropping the game 4-1.

Tim Tebow's prayers have finally been answered, as he will finally be an NFL quarterback once again. Bishop Tebow and the Eagles agreed to a one year deal late this afternoon. The terms of the deal have not been released yet, but it doesn't seem like it will be too expensive.

Harang and Francoeur Propel Phillies Past Red Sox

When the Phillies signed Aaron Harang to a one-year, $5 million deal in late December, they were hoping for a veteran presence in the rotation that could eat some innings.

Harang did much more than eat innings in his Phillies debut Wednesday night, tossing 6 1/3 scoreless innings.

The Phillies would get their first run(s) of the season in the game as well, as veteran Jeff Francoeur, who came to Spring Training as a non-roster invitee, smacked a three-run home run to center to give the Phillies the lead on their way to a 4-2 win.

Phillies Crushed by Red Sox in Season Opener

…and they’re off…to a terrible start.

The Phillies kicked off the 2015 season this afternoon at Citizens Bank Park by getting absolutely romped by the Red Sox, 8-0.

The Red Sox wasted little time getting to it against the Phillies, as Dustin Pedroia took just the fifth pitch of the game out of the park to put Boston up 1-0.
