As I said earlier, Beau is a big man. If football doesn't work out for him, he always has a contingency plan of signing on with the WWE to become the fourth Wyatt brother. As awesome as that would be to see, something tells me that Beau will have at least a pretty decent career.
During the first preseason game against the Bears last week, Beau finished with just two tackles, but nearly forced a fumble along with Vinny Curry, but the call was overturned when the refs decided that Jordan Palmer's arm was moving forward, resulting in an incomplete pass. In fact, at the postgame press conference, Allen's name was the first one out of Chip Kelly's mouth when asked about who played well in the game. Getting praise from the coach this early in the preseason is always a good sign for a rookie.
With Bernie Logan sidelined with a hamstring injury for the time being, the nose tackle position is an open race between Allen and second year player Damion Square. There's an opportunity to start immediately, which is an incredible position for any seventh round pick to be in. Beau knows how hard he has to work to get that starting job sooner rather than later, and seems fired up to go out there and get the job done. If he does get the starting job at some point this season, Beau Allen looks to be the steal of the draft.
