Saint Joseph’s forward DeAndre’ Bembry has been invited to the inaugural Nike Basketball Academy, the school announced in a a release on Monday. Bembry, a rising junior, is one of 20 college basketball players to be invited, and will take part in the camp at Santa Monica Airport Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, from June 26-29.
The camp will feature some of Nike’s top athletes as instructors, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.
Bembry is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign for the Hawks, in which he averaged 17.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game, earning Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team honors.
