These comments about training camp by Ed Snider may have been the best foreshadowing. "I thought our training camp, quite frankly, was one of the worst training camps I've ever seen...There was nothing exciting. Nobody shined. Nobody looked good."
Assistant coach, Craig Berube, will act as the Flyers manager going forth.
This current team is a ship with no captain. Giroux needs to step up, or at least someone else does. Even Luke Schenn recently said the team lacks confidence. I don't think there's a reason to panic yet. At least unlike other hapless franchises (think Jacksonville) the pieces are at there, they just need to be put together.
So we say goodbye to you, Lavy. You leave the third most winningest coach in franchise history and I'm sure we'll see you again in the league. This time, just promise you'll actually jump the bench and hit Bylsma in his ugly face.
