The Dragons defense was great this afternoon. Not only did they hold the Cougars to just 51 points, with just 23 coming in the second half, but they forced the Cougars into committing 11 turnovers. Granted, the Cougars aren't known for their offensive prowess, but the Dragons only allowed two opposing players to record more than seven points.
The win brings the Dragons to 5-14 on the season, but gives them their third win in conference play. With just 10 games left on the season ( 5 on the road, 5 at home), the Dragons have some serious ground to make up. Maybe an NCAA Tournament birth isn't likely, but they can still position themselves for a good run in the CAA Tournament. With experienced players like Damion Lee and Tavon Allen, the Dragons have two guys they can rely upon for leadership come playoff time.
