In keeping the theme of the day for Philadelphia sports today, Drexel failed to pick up a win against the CAA conference leading Blue Hens, and now fall to 10-8 on the season. Frantz Massenat picked up where he left off last game by finishing with 20 points, good enough to lead the Dragons in scoring. In fact, Massenat had a terrific outing and finished with a double-double. He finished with 10 of the team's 15 assists. The Dragons had a decent game on offense as a team. Although they only shot 43% from 2 point range, they had a number of opportunities to come back and win the game. It was just a tough night in terms of finishing the plays. Drexel only made 9-25 three point attempts, so they were getting open looks, just not hitting like they normally do. The Dragons had a off night shooting the ball and the Blue Hens took advantage, going 56.5% from 2 point range and 40% from downtown. The Big 3 of Massenat, Chris Fouch (18 points) and Tavon Allen (19 points) combined for 57 of the team's 77 points. Having to go the rest of the season without Lee will be tough for the Dragons, but somebody else needs to step up and be a major contributor to help take the burden off these three. If one of the three has an off night, the Dragons will continue to struggle from the field. However, an emerging presence off the bench or even in the starting lineup will help Drexel get back to the top of the CAA.
