<--The Flyers offense receded in the third period faster than Ryan Getzlaf's hair line.
The Flyers momentum gradually trickled out though, much like it has almost every game this season. Andrew Cogliano (surprisingly not a celebrity chef) opened the flood gates after scoring on a fortuitous bounce off the backboards in the second.
The third period belonged to Kyle Palmieri, who tied the game 2-2 by stealing the puck and putting it through Mason's five-hole. Palmieri also threw the final blow, scoring with 4:09 left in the game to give the Ducks a 3-2 lead that ultimately became the final.
The Ducks now sit at 10-3-0, 2nd in the West, while the Flyers fall to 3-8-0, 2nd to last in the East.
Note: Veteran Teemu Selanne, in his 22nd season, went down after taking a stick to the face in the third. There was some blood on the ice, but he skated off to a cheers from the crowd.
