Eagles Lose Preseason Game to Jets

We lost to the Jets?!?! What the heck, fire Chip now! Oh, what’s that? It’s the preseason? Oh, ok, I almost had a small heart attack there. Our Iggles lost the preseason battle 27-20 due to the great playing of Jets backup quarterback Matt Sims (?) and the less-than-spectacular showing by our own backup, Nick Foles.

Obviously we don’t want to make too much out of this loss because the starters hardly played (if at all) and the coaching staff was mainly just using this game to solve the last roster spots. We can only hope that Chip has some tricks up his sleeves that he hasn’t showed thus far in the preseason. I suppose this game proves that Chip made the right decision by making Vick the starter, so now we can all rest easy knowing that the best man for the job will be quarterbacking for us come Week One.
