Jordan Matthews had a good performance in the last game of his rookie season. The wide receiver went for 105 yards and a touchdown on 8 catches. While he wasn't the best rookie receiver on the field today (Beckham had 185 yards and a touchdown), Matthews looked good this season, and should be a big part of the offense for the next few years.
The defense looked sluggish out there today, but didn't let the Giants get too many scoring opportunities. They did not record a single sack on the game, but had 3 QB Hits and Nate Allen was able to pick off Eli. The defense was amazing in the first half of the season, especially much improved players like Barwin and Cox, but slowed down in the second half of the season, which coincided with the loss of Demeco Ryans. Their emotional leader was a huge part of the defense, and should be back to cause some damage next season.
At 10-6, the Eagles had the best record of any non-playoff team, but couldn't do enough to get to January. Changes will be made on offense and defense, some forseen and some out of nowhere. The 2015 Eagles will have this season in the back of their mind and ready to challenge for the NFC East title once again.
