On a big night for the City 6, in which all six teams had a game, the Explorers reminded Philadelphia why they should be higher up on Kyle's City 6 rankings. The explorers improved to .500 as they defeated Hartford 75-62.
Ty Garland led the way for LaSalle with 17 points and 2 steals en route to the victory. Steve Zack had a terrific game and was a force to be reckoned with down low, scoring 15 points while also grabbing 7 rebounds and swatting 2 shots. The junior from New Cumberland, PA is a vital piece to the Explorers game plan.
Guard DJ Peterson, while posting a modest 3 points, surprised everyone by grabbing 7 rebounds himself. Its very rare that a guard leads the team in rebounding, so Peterson's effort played a huge part in defeating the Hawks.
