Freddy Galvis is in the hospital with MRSA, meaning the utility infielder will not be on the Opening Day roster, further depleting the Phillies depth.
Further affecting the Phillies’ depth, was the news Friday that Darin Ruf will be out 4-6 weeks. Ruf strained his left oblique, and on Friday an MRI revealed it to be between a Grade 1 and 2 strain.
The list of injuries continues to grow for the Phillies, and as a result, an already weak roster has begun to look even weaker.
