The city of Philadelphia was collectively holding its breath, but luckily the team announced tonight that Claude will be back for tomorrow's game against the New Jersey Devils. If Giroux wanted to take a night or 2 off though, I don't think most people would be opposed at this point.
Giroux said in his post-game presser that his first reaction was what happened to Erik Karlsson, who needed surgery and had to miss 10 weeks after known asshole Matt Cooke sliced his leg in 2013. It didn't look like Faulk had any bad intentions on this play though, just wrong place and wrong time for both. Thank Orange Jesus that Claude Giroux is bulletproof.
