Hamels was stellar throughout, allowing just five hits and two walks in 7 2/3 innings of work. The lefty, who has dominated the Reds in his career, also struck out seven batters on his way to picking up the shutout win.
The Phillies offense got on the board in the fourth, when Domonic Brown doubled home two runs and John Mayberry Jr. followed with an RBI single.
Jimmy Rollins would hit a solo home run, his seventh of the season, in the fifth inning to push the Phillies' lead to 4-0 before the club piled on four more in the ninth to take an 8-0 win.
