Despite it being Hartnell's return to Philadelphia, he didn't really do much in terms of statistics or helping Columbus win...so that story's dead. Keep reading if you'd like.
On a positive note, Jakub Voracek continued his 9-game point streak tonight with an assist and a power play goal in the second period. Voracek now has 17 points over 9 games, though he has fallen behind Sidney Crosby for the NHL lead in total points.
Claude Giroux had a power play goal in the first and Michael Del Zotto provided some false hope in the third with a goal ripped over Columbus goalie Curtis McElhinney's left shoulder to make it 4-3, but that was as good as it got.
Ain't no rest for the Flyers, as they leave town tonight to play the Canadiens tomorrow night in Montreal. Perhaps they overlooked this game because they're focused on a tougher opponent in the Canadiens...yeah, let's go with that. Last time I inferred that before they played Pittsburgh on back-to-backs they won, so go get 'em Flyers!
