While few familiar names were seen in the Phillies' loss on Sunday, it was a bit different Tuesday afternoon at Bright House Field in their Grapefruit League opener.
Ryan Howard would look sharp for the Phillies in their matchup with the Yankees, going 2-for-2 with an RBI, as the two teams tied 5-5.
The Phillies would tack on one more in the fifth and two in the seventh, as the offense looked solid in its first outing of the spring.
The Yankees would spoil the afternoon for the Phillies in the ninth, however, scoring four runs against Mario Hollands to tie the game at 5-5.
The game would end with that same score, but the Phillies would look decent for their first outing of Spring Training.
Howard would finish 2-for-2 with an RBI, while the Phillies' now everyday shortstop Freddy Galvis went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
The Phillies will face the Yankees again Wednesday, this time at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
