A third round pick out of Texas, Hicks quietly blossomed into one of the steals of the whole draft, filling in nicely when veterans Kiko Alonso, Demeco Ryans, and Mychal Kendricks missed time throughout the season. He recovered three fumbles and had two interceptions to go along with his 50 tackles in the eight games this season.
Losing someone like Jordan Hicks hurts, but the Eagles have other viable options on the roster. Kiko Alonso saw his first action in weeks Sunday night in Dallas, and he should be ready to receive a lot more playing time the rest of the way. Mychal Kendricks was back and starting along side Hicks, too. Demeco Ryans missed last night due to a groin injury, but it isn't too serious and should be returning to the lineup.
It was a great rookie season from Jordan Hicks. Can't wait til next season to see him suit up once again.
