Last season, the Eagles' offensive line was one of the healthiest in the league. That is not the case this year with both Mathis and Barbre done for the season. Coupled with the Lane Johnson suspension, and the Eagles have some fixing to do on their line before Monday night's matchup versus the Colts. The Eagles have signed offensive tackles Kevin Graf and Wade Smith to replace the two for the season. The new signees have some big shoes to fill.
Linebacker Najee Goode, favorite of the BSB, is also lost for the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle. The Eagles brought in Emmanuel Acho to fill the void. Acho was on the preseason squad in Philadelphia, so it should be relatively quick to get him up to speed.
Although the injuries are to three valuable players, the Eagles have done as good a job as they can trying to replace their production on such short notice. The rest of their season and playoffs hopes ride on these guys fitting in quickly and the rest of the team staying as healthy as possible.
