During the offseason, the Eagles traded for Kiko Alonso, drafted Jordan Hicks, and resigned Demeco Ryans. Including Kendricks, that left just two middle linebacker spots for four players. Kiko Alonso will play the most. Coming off an ACL injury, Alonso sat out the 2014 season, but was good enough in his 2013 season that he was able to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
From what it sounds like, Kendricks will receive a lot of playing time as well. Ryans is coming off an injury himself, so he will platoon a bit with Kendricks. Hicks will have to earn his playing time in this crowded group, but he will have his share of snaps too. Chip seems like he has it under control and will find a way to please all of his middle linebackers.
