On the Patriots end, Johnny Wilson set up the potential game-tying shot, missing 2 free throws in the final seconds. Byron Allen's 24 points helped the Patriots hang on to the lead.
The stat line was very even. Penn even led in 3PT's, FT's, assists and steals. Every game has been a close contest for the Quakers it seems. They just need to put it together. With Nelson-Henry coming back soon and the closeness of their out-of-conference games it is easy to see Penn still finishing in the top 3 of the Ivy League. Ultimately only the #1 spot matters though, as the Ivy League plays no postseason tournament. Idea: Have a postseason tournament like every other conference and have it at the Palestra.
Penn plays La Salle at the Palestra on Saturday at 4. Conference play then begins vs. Princeton next Saturday, before abruptly ending to squeeze in games vs. Saint Joe's and NJIT.
