Kendrick would immediately cough up that lead, however, allowing the Marlins to tie the game in the bottom of the first.
Kendrick and the Phillies bullpen would be smacked around from there, as the Phillies were crushed by the Marlins, 14-5.
From there, it would be all Marlins, as they continued to pile on runs. Kendrick was pulled after 5 2/3 innings, having allowed six runs on seven hits.
The Phillies bullpen would fair no better, as Jeff Manship allowed a grand slam in the seventh to Marcell Ozuna, and Luis Garcia was tagged for four runs of his own in the eighth, as the Phillies lost 14-5.
Notes: Jimmy Rollins collected two hits Wednesday night, moving the shortstop into a tie with Richie Ashburn for second on the Phillies' all-time hits list.
