Jake Diekman tossed a perfect seventh inning, as the lefty has been lights-out recently. While Diekman continues to show promise, it has not been the same story with the rest of the Phillies bullpen. J.C. Ramirez took the mound for the Phillies and looked awful to put things nicely. Ramirez allowed two runs on one hit, while walking three.
The Phillies offense was lacking on the afternoon, as they managed only four hits all game. The Phillies scored their only run of the game in the fourth, as Darin Ruf hit his twelfth home run of the season.
The Phillies will now return home to Citizens Bank Park, as they welcome the Nationals to town. Cole Hamels will make the start for the Phillies.
