
Kyle Kendrick made the start for the Phillies, tossing three innings while allowing one run on a solo home run to Ramon Flores. Jonathan Papelbon would follow Kendrick with a scoreless frame before Mario Hollands came on to throw two scoreless innings.
At the plate, Mayberry went 2-for-3 on the afternoon, smacking a home run and a double. Freddy Galvis went 1-for-3 on the day, hitting a solo home run in the third inning.
The Phillies were scheduled to be in split-squad action on the day, with the other crew playing the Tigers, but the game was rained out. It will not be made up, because who the hell would make up a spring game?
The Phillies will play the Orioles on Friday, as A.J. Burnett makes his second start of the spring.
