Freddy Galvis would hit a triple of his own in the second to score Ben Revere, and the Phillies would tack on two more in the fourth, as the offense showed signs of life for the first time in a few days.
Shawn Camp, Phillippe Aumont and Kevin Munson would follow Burnett with one scoreless inning apiece before Cesar Jimenez entered the game in the eighth.
Jimenez would toss a scoreless eighth before allowing Alex Gonzalez to hit a two-run home run in ninth to pull the Orioles within one. Jimenez would walk the next batter before getting Xavier Paul to pop out for the final out of the game, as the Phillies won just their third game of the spring.
Roberto Hernandez will get the start for the Phillies on Thursday, as they host the Yankees.
Notes: Cole Hamels threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Wednesday morning, his first time throwing from a mound since the first of the month. Hamels said the session went well, and he is scheduled to throw his next bullpen session Friday or Saturday. In other injury news, Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez was scratched Wednesday with a sore right shoulder.
