That's how long it has now been since the Phillies have recorded an extra-base hit after another poor offensive outing Saturday night.
Kyle Kendrick made the start for the Phillies, allowing three runs across seven innings, but with the Phillies offense still missing in action, picked up the loss as the Rockies won 3-1.
Carlos Gonzalez would reach base to lead off the fourth on a ball that deflected off Ryan Howard's glove (which somehow was ruled a hit). Justin Morneau would make the Phillies pay, smacking a two-run home run to right to give the Rockies a seeming insurmountable 3-0 lead (for this offense at least).
Cody Asche would single to lead off the eighth and eventually come around to score on a groundout by Jimmy Rollins, giving the Phillies their only run in the 3-1 loss.
The Phillies will look to avoid being swept by the Rockies Sunday afternoon. Roberto Hernandez will make the start, squaring off against Juan Nicasio.
