Former Phillie Jayson Werth would single home a run in the third to give the Nationals back the lead and Denard Span would add to that with a solo home run in the fifth.
The Phillies would rally in the sixth, however, as Domonic Brown doubled home a run before Sizemore’s two-run shot gave the Phillies a 5-4 lead.
The Phillies offense would add two more runs in the seventh and one in the eighth, as they collected 15 hits total in their 8-4 win over Washington.
