
Jeff Manship made the start for the Phillies, tossing three innings while allowing just one run on two hits. B.J. Rosenberg relieved Manship, tossing two scoreless innings before handing things over to Jeremy Horst, who tossed a scoreless frame of his own.
Following an offensive outburst yesterday, the Phillies were back to their underwhelming selves at the plate, collecting just two hits all afternoon.
It wasn't until the sixth inning that Tony Gwynn Jr. hit a bloop single to break up the Twins' no-hitter, and the Phillies would score their only run in the eighth (it was unearned).
The Phillies unimpressive spring continues. Next up, Cliff Lee takes on the Braves. It's a damn shame he won't be hitting. The offense could use him.
