Chase Utley staked Lee an early lead, with a solo home run in the first, his sixteenth of the season. After Lee surrendered the lead, the Phillies would tie things up as Michael Young grounded into a double play in the fifth that brought a run home. Heading to the ninth down by one, things seemed all but over, when suddenly, the Phillies showed a bit of fight. Erik Kratz doubled to lead off the inning and was lifted for pinch runner Casper Wells. John Mayberry Jr. grounded out to advance Wells to third before Carlos Ruiz notched a pinch hit double to bring him home and tie the score. After Jimmy Rollins was intentionally walked in an attempt to set up the double play, Young singled to left to bring home Ruiz and walk things off for the Phillies.
The Phillies will now close out the series against the Rockies, as they look to walk away with their first series win in ages. Kyle Kendrick will make the start for the Phillies, as he looks to end his current rough patch.
