It was all Villanova in this one, as the Wildcats dominated the Rams on their way to pitching a shutout. The Wildcats traveled to Rhode Island and felt plenty at home as they scored early and often to get back to .500 on the season.
Villanova put the game away before halftime, as the Wildcats went to the locker room up 35-0. Quarterback John Robertson ran for four first half touchdowns and Kevin Monangai rushed for one as well, as the Wildcats had their way with the Rams.
Monangai would run for another touchdown in the third quarter and Mark Hamilton would hit a 22-yard field goal to put the Wildcats up 45-0. Villanova took its foot off the gas at that point, cruising to a 45-0 win.
Robertson broke the record for rushing yards by a quarterback at Villanova during the game and also moved into fourth for all rushers in school history.
Villanova will next play on November 23, when they meet the Delaware Fightin Blue Hens at PPL Park.
