Like I said, this doesn't really count in my eyes. No offense to Temple, as their program has improved vastly in the past few years, but they are still far from being on a team like Louisville's level.
The Owls managed to cover the spread against the number 7 Cardinals and future first round draft pick Teddy Bridgewater. I'm leaving it at that, they covered the spread, which is all we can ask for against a stud like Bridgewater.
The loss dropped Temple to 0-5 on the season. They will face Cincinnati next.
Villanova 20 William & Mary 16
The Wildcats completed a fourth quarter comeback to top the Tribe and improve to 3-2 on the season.
Villanova trailed 10-3 at the half, and following a William & Mary field goal to open the second half scoring, scored their first touchdown of the day on an Austin Medley run to put the score at 13-10. The Wildcats would hit a field goal to tie things before the Tribe hit one of their own to regain the lead. With just 28 seconds remaining, John Robertson ran for the game-winning score and the Wildcats emerged victorious.
Villanova will next face 6-0 Towson.
UPenn 37 Dartmouth 31
The Quakers would need multiple overtimes in this one to emerge victorious. After finishing regulation time knotted at 21 each, UPenn and Dartmouth went back and fourth matching each other in overtime until the Quakers finally secured the win.
Dartmouth scored a touchdown in the second overtime, but a 27-yard rushing touchdown by Billy Ragone would keep the game going. After each team hit a fieldgoal in the third overtime, Kyle Wilcox rushed for a 20-yard touchdown in the fourth overtime to give the Quakers the win.
UPenn, 2-1, will next play William & Mary.
