The Birds enter the contest with the third-ranked offense, averaging 449.8 yards per game, largely in part to the league’s top running back, LeSean McCoy. McCoy enters the game with 630 yards rushing and three touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
Chip Kelly’s high-octane offense has certainly racked up the yards, but struggled to turn them into points at times. Averaging 27.7 points per game, the Eagles may get some extra help, as defensive end DeMarcus Ware may be out for the Cowboys. With the Cowboys top rusher out in DeMarco Murray, the suspect (to say the least) Eagles defense should benefit as well.
With the Cowboys 0-2 on the road and Eagles 0-2 at home, one team is bound to break a streak. After being just a field goal for each team off with my Eagles prediction last week I’ll give this another shot.
Prediction: Eagles 38 Cowboys 34
