Villanova enters the contest coming off a rout of Rider, in which freshman Josh Hart scored a career-high 19 points off the bench on his way to being named Big East Rookie of the Week. The Wildcats will look yet again to their balanced lineup as they attempt to knock off a second-ranked squad for the second time this season after a November win over Kansas.
Syracuse brings a balanced lineup of its own to the contest, as the Orange boast four different players averaging double figures in scoring, including freshman Tyler Ennis, the younger brother of the Wildcats’ Dylan Ennis.
The Orange enter the game after a rout of High Point more than a week ago. Trailing 40-39 with just over 16 minutes remaining, Syracuse went on a tear to close out the game, outscoring High Point 36-14 on their way to a 21-point victory.
Both teams enter the game with unblemished records at 11-0, but only one will emerge from the Carrier Dome undefeated in this battle of the unbeatens.
