Reports have surfaced today that Thaddeus Young and his agent, Jim Tanner, have officially requested a trade from Sam Hinkie and the 76ers.
LibertyBallers.com is reporting that the trade request was submitted a few weeks ago and Young was excited about a possible trade to the Rockets for Asik. However, it was reported today that Houston has ended trade talks on Asik and plan to keep him according to Yahoo Sports. It is said that he is not happy with the team's decision to tank.
As much as Sixers fans love Thad, I don't think you can blame him for asking to leave. Young has proved over the years that he gives it his all on the court and you can't blame him for wanting to play for a contender when Philadelphia's management built this team to lose. As talks with Houston seemed to have quieted, we will need to see what other suitors come asking for Young.
