Burnett had been cruising early, but a sixth inning rally by the Angels would turn what had been a solid outing into yet another disappointment, as the Phillies fell 4-3.
It wouldn’t be until the sixth inning that the shit hit the fan. In the sixth, Burnett allowed three hits, one walk and hit one batter with a pitch, as the Angels scored three runs to take the lead.
The Phillies would pull within one on an RBI ground out by Domonic Brown in the eighth, but would be unable to complete the comeback, falling to 4-3.
