Saint Joseph's would recover a bit, pulling within 22-21 with 8:05 remaining in the first half, but VCU would close the half in dominant fashion and head to the locker room with a 46-30 lead.
It would be all VCU in the second half, as the Rams extended their lead to as much as 27 before ultimately topping the Hawks by a score of 89-74.
DeAndre' Bembry would lead the way for the Hawks in the loss, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds, as Saint Joseph's fell to 6-8 on the season.
